ACAS deadline calculator

This tool assumes:

• The standard tribunal time limit is 3 months less 1 day from the date of the act complained of.
• For unlawful deduction series (e.g. recurring holiday-pay underpayment), the clock typically runs from the last deduction in the series.
• ACAS early conciliation is mandatory before issuing most tribunal claims — the EC notification stops the clock.
• Equal pay claims and some redundancy claims have different limits — this tool covers the common 3-month route.
• Tribunals can extend time only in narrow circumstances (just and equitable / not reasonably practicable).
